About me

I build interfaces that feel considered.

01 / The story

I wrote my first line of JavaScript in a university computer lab in 2016, trying to make a dropdown menu slide instead of snap. That small obsession — with how things move and how they feel — never really went away.

For the last three years I have led the frontend of a fintech platform serving 300,000 monthly users. My job there is mostly unglamorous: shaving 600ms off a first paint, rewriting a form so screen readers can complete it, convincing people that a design system is infrastructure and not decoration.

“The framework is never the hard part. The hard part is the thousand small decisions that make a product feel trustworthy.”

Outside of work I maintain a handful of open-source packages, write about interface engineering, and mentor three junior developers through a local bootcamp. I read more about typography than is strictly reasonable for someone who does not set type for a living.

Where I have worked

  1. 2023 — Now

    Lead Frontend Engineer@Paynet

Own the web platform used by 300k monthly users. Rebuilt the payment flow in Next.js, cut LCP from 4.1s to 1.2s, and introduced the design system that now powers six internal products.

  2. 2021 — 2023

    Senior Frontend Engineer@Nordic Labs

Led the interface work on a B2B analytics suite. Built a virtualised data grid handling 100k rows, and raised test coverage from 18% to 84% without slowing the team down.

  3. 2019 — 2021

    Frontend Engineer@Tulip Agency

Shipped 30+ marketing sites and ecommerce storefronts for regional brands. This is where I learned to make things beautiful and fast on devices nobody in the office owned.

  4. 2018 — 2019

    Junior Developer@Freelance

Built landing pages, WordPress themes and far too many carousels. Learned how to talk to clients and how to say no to a fifth revision round.

03 / What I do

Three things I am genuinely good at

  • Product interfaces

Dashboards, editors and flows where the data is messy and the interaction has to stay obvious.

    • Data-dense UI
    • Complex forms
    • Offline-first states
  • Design systems

Component libraries that designers trust and developers do not quietly work around.

    • Token architecture
    • Headless primitives
    • Docs & adoption
  • Motion & polish

Interface animation with intent — orientation, feedback and delight, never decoration.

    • Scroll choreography
    • Spring physics
    • Reduced-motion paths
